GlobalBees is a prominent venture-backed company that operates in the e-commerce space, specializing in acquiring and scaling digital-first consumer brands. By utilizing a data-driven approach, GlobalBees aims to build a diverse portfolio of brands that cater to various consumer needs across different categories. The company reached a valuation of $1.1 billion in 2021.

Small and mid-sized consumer brands in India struggled with distribution, marketing, and scaling their operations, especially in the competitive e-commerce space.

GlobalBees built a platform to acquire and grow D2C brands across various categories by offering operational efficiencies, digital marketing strategies, and supply chain improvements, similar to the Thrasio model.

GlobalBees focused on acquiring emerging consumer brands with strong product-market fit but limited scaling capacity. They used an omnichannel marketing strategy, combining online ads with influencer campaigns and cross-promotion across their portfolio brands. This allowed them to boost visibility and rapidly grow acquired brands.
