MobiKwik is India's leading FinTech platform, offering a wide range of financial products for both consumers and merchants, including payments, digital credit, and investments. More than 15 crore users are registered on platform with 4 million+ partners. Founded in 2009 by Bipin Preet Singh and Upasana Taku. By 2021, it reached a valuation of unicorn with a loss of $16 million. 




Problem

Digital payment options in India were limited, with a lack of flexibility for users to manage their wallets and make payments for various services.


Mobikwik Solution

MobiKwik introduced a digital wallet allowing users to store money, pay bills, and shop online seamlessly. Later, it added features like Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) and personal loans.


Initial Users & Marketing Hack

Early adopters were young professionals and urban consumers. MobiKwik attracted users through cashback offers, tie-ups with online retailers, and referral programs, rapidly growing its wallet base.

  • Mobikwik Xtra: MobiKwik Xtra is brought to you in partnership with Transactree Technologies Private Limited (“Lendbox”) which is a RBI-regulated NBFC - Peer to Peer Lending Platform.

  • Mobikwik lens: Zoom in to know your money - All bank accounts, multiple investments, total spends - All analytics at one place

  • Mutual funds: At MobiKwik, there is d Direct Mutual Funds investment by you with no hidden commissions.
